Portable chargers are designed to travel with the vehicle. They plug into an existing outlet or socket and require no permanent installation — the driver keeps them in the trunk and can charge almost anywhere.

The Power Question: Single-Phase or Three-Phase?

One of the biggest decision points is electrical service. Single-phase service (common in residential North America) caps output at around 7 kW. Three-phase service (common in Europe and industrial sites) unlocks 11 kW and 22 kW.
